It can make a person feel small and helpless.
We know we canβt stop someone from doing something we donβt agree with (not even Congress or Supreme Court Judges seem to be able to do that)
But what does that leave us with?
A burning βI am not okay with thisβ and not much else, at times.
It can feel like the only other option is to resign in defeat because turning the tide feels so daunting.
I want to offer you a different option.
Itβs more long sighted than just being present with the current moment - which, at times, can feel unbearable.
It depends on you knowing and accepting one truth: everything ebbs and flows. What goes up must come down. For every action thereβs an equal and opposite reaction. Everything ends and starts again.
In order for humanity to move beyond level 1 of our experience (which we have been stuck at since our creation), it requires a BRAND NEW playbook.
Thatβs where you come back into your power.
What calls to you? What moves you? What pulls and tugs at you in the dark hours of the night?
What matters? And how can you act on that in a way that supports the good of all?
You alone cannot change the way humanity operates.
Neither can I.
But each of us, doing the thing we were put on this Earth to do - and doing it together- can.
You can teach a child kindness, acceptance, how to have hard conversations in a way that respects all parties, how to be comfortable with people who are different than they are and how to manage their emotions.
You can resolve your unresolved wounds so you stop projecting them outwards and perpetuating the trauma.
You can help people in need reclaim their power and sovereignty.
You can live in a way thatβs regenerative rather than depletive to the world.
You can heal your ish with money, become the next billionaire and fund social change projects.
Small acts make a difference. Teaching something to one person can ripple out infinitely.
When faced with things you loathe that are out of your control because they are happening at depths in the infrastructure you donβt have access to - YET - focus on what you can control.
You can regulate your nervous system so others can co-regulate with you.
You can donate $10 to a cause that is fighting for what you believe in.
You can volunteer.
You can lean into your mission, and start disconnecting from the extraction.
One person canβt change the world by themselves.
BUT one person can have a massive impact that can lead to world change.
You only, simply, have to not give up. π
